Steph has over 16years experience in the hairdressing industry, salon owner of Profile since 2018, registered as a Master Craftsman via the Hairdressing Council, currently programme manager of advanced hairdressing NVQ VTCT hairdressing courses at Yeovil College. Steph was runner up in the World Skills UK competition, holds a teaching University Level Degree Level 5 Diploma, an Assessors Award, First aid at work and is IQA qualified.
Our structured training modules are tailored to bridge the gap between college qualifications and confident salon floor execution.
All attendees must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2 or 3 diploma or equivalent certificate in hairdressing.
Colour Theory Essentials
Master the principles of colour fundamentals. I cover hair depths, undertones, lightening, toning and navigating the international colour chart to give you full confidence behind the chair.
Cutting and Sectioning Guides
Deconstruct the 4 key haircuts, learn the key cutting angles, and master sectioning patterns. Refine fringes, precision face framing, and flattering side partings with ease.
Hands-on Practical Mondays
Offering 1:1 training or small group hands-on practical sessions hosted in our Dorchester salon on Mondays. Working on block heads, followed by sourcing live hair models, to put theory directly into real-time salon practice under expert guidance.

I try to keep my prices competitive and reasonable to allow me to help the next generation of hairdressers.
Practical hands on training days start from £40 per hour. (I require a minimum of 4hours per day and can tailor how many days would best suit your needs). Discount for multiple people / small groups available.
I will carry out an interview and a skill scan prior to booking training sessions to help me assess how long I'd recommend to undergo our courses and ensure you are on the right course for you focusing on key areas for development.
